Merry Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent time with both sides of the family and were very glad that Josh and Miranda were able to come down from the Seattle area.

This was the first Christmas that the boys actually got to participate in. They really didn't get very excited about opening up the presents but they sure loved playing with them afterward. Mason really like all of the plastic garbage that came with the toys. Needless to say they are two very spoiled little boys. They got so many toys from their grandparents that we didn't have room in the truck for them all. We tried to shove in as many as we could and poor Mason paid for it. The kid got crushed by a toy on the way home that evening while strapped in his car seat. They also got showered with attention from all of their older cousins. They loved the all the lights and Christmas trees too. Next year should be even more fun.

18 Month Pics

So the boys are 18 months old and we're having so much fun with them. They are saying new words and imitating new things everyday. It is so fun to watch them play together. Sometimes is fun to have a brother and sometimes you can tell that they wish the other one would just go away.

Storybook Land

We took the boys to Storybook Land for the first time today and they got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time too. I'm pretty sure that they loved Santa and we probably made his day too.

It's Getting Colder Outside

It's getting colder outside and the boys are getting ready for winter and into the spirit of Christmas!

Helping Daddy With The Tree

The boys were overjoyed to help daddy put up the Christmas tree. I'm sure he really appreciated all of the "help". I think the baby gate adds a nice touch....that being that the tree still has ornaments on it.

Sitting Tall

The boys have just recently started eating at the table and you would think that they just won the lottery. They are pleased as pie to be at the big boy table. They think that they are such big boys now.

Happy Halloween 2009!

Halloween is just starting and the boys are already having fun. On Friday the boys dressed up and Nana paraded them around LBCC. Some of the departments really go all out with the decorations. The boys weren't so sure about some of the costumes. Then that night we went with James's parents to a kids party at the church. The boys had a lot of fun just running around with all of the other kids. This morning we had breakfest at nana and papa's. They got to see Josh and Miranda for the first time since they started running around. Tonight we are headed to grandma and grandpa Dodge's house to make halloween cookies and watch the football game. The boys actually seem to like their halloween costumes too. Brock is the Cheetah and Mason is the Tiger. We figured that he should be the tiger since the crazy hair on the costume resembles his crazy hair in real life. Happy Halloween everyone!

Mason's New Do

Sometimes it just doesn't pay to wake up. This is Mason's very impressive hairdo after waking up from his nap.

Another Day Another Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we hit our second pumpkin patch this weekend. We went to Heavenly Farm with Nana Raymond. The boys loved the hay bale maze and the big bins of corn to play in. Obviously they're pretty cheap to entertain. We even road the pumpkin express out to the pumpkin patch. Since this was an organic pumpkin patch you had to sift through the weeds to find the pumpkins which was a little odd. I think we like Lone Pine Farms better. On the way home we hit one of the playgrounds in town so the boys could get their slide fix. Overall they had a pretty fun day.

Lone Pine Farms 2009

.

It was our first trip to the pumpkin patch today and we had a great time down at Lone Pine Farms. They have a petting zoo there and Brock loved the goats. He our little animal lover and he had so much fun petting the goats noses. Mason was terrified and didn't want anything to do with them. Maybe it was the horns? They also have a playground, corn maze, horse carriage/tractor rides and a great little store that we loaded up on produce at. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to ride the cow train because they only run it on weekend :( We decided to walk out to the pumpkin patch and we just turned the boys loose to do their thing with the pumpkins. They just had fun running around outside though it was a challenge to keep their rubber boots on that were too big. The boys also got to play on an old Case tractor.. two babies, one steering wheel... not always the best option. We plan to check out another pumpkin patch tomorrow with Nana.
