Favorite Things

The boys have really been into coloring lately. It probably qualifies as their current favorite thing to do and what better than to wear a box on your head while you work. Their day care lady gave them presents in gift boxes but only one is big enough to wear as a hat so we've had lots of fighting over the new "hat".

Rainy Days

It was another rainy day so we kept busy making a track for the hot wheels with an old diaper box. Luckily they're only two so they were really impressed with my artistic abilities.

Stinkin' Sneaky Duck Fans!

I should have guessed that James was just too compliant when we dressed the boys in their Beaver gear the morning of the Civil War game. Underneath those orange and black clothes James had taken a marker to them and gave them "tattoos". Brock tried to scrub the "Go Ducks" off Mason's butt.

Civil War Cupcakes

Aunt Niki brought over supplies so that the boys could decorate their own Beaver and duck mini cupcakes. Brock just wanted a little bite out of each cupcake but of course the OSU ones were his favorite.

Storybook Land 2010

I can't even describe how much fun the boys had at storybook land this year. They were the perfect age that everything was magical and they loved all of the characters. Brock had to give hugs to all of the teddy bears and he also tried to feed the rain deer the canned food that we brought for the needy. Mason's favorite part was jumping up and down to make the Grinch jump. They even gave Santa high fives and sat on his lap without crying.

Cookie Decorating 101

This was the first time that we decided to tackle cookie decorating with the boys. It was definitely a two person job so we waited until daddy was home to help. First they had to try them on as bracelets then as hats. The boys did enjoy cutting out the cookies although their favorite part was licking the beaters and eating the cookies. They weren't very excited about the frosting part since it was just one more step before it got into their mouth. The hardest part for them was waiting for them to bake in the oven. You can probably guess that they aren't very patient creatures and it showed when they were staring at the oven door yelling "cookies!!".

2 1/2 Year Pictures

The boys are now 2 1/2 years old so it's back to Picture People for more photos. The boys did surprisingly well this time. Normally we have to wrestle them just to keep them in front of the camera. This time they acted almost comatose. No smiles but at least they held still long enough to get some pictures taken this time.

Getting In The Christmas Spirit

So this is the third year now that we've broke out the reindeer antlers. Brock may not have enjoyed it so much but Mason knows when he looks good. Daddy's safety glasses only enhance the look.

Tree Decorating 101

The boys are having a lot of firsts this year now that they're getting old enough to actually know what is going on. I decided to let the boys decorate a tree of their own this year. We have an ugly little fake tree that I thought would be perfect for the event. The minute I started pulling it out of the box the boys started screaming "tree, tree, tree!!" They had so much fun putting all the decorations on themselves. I really had no idea they would love it so much or even know what they were suppose to do for that matter.

First Snow fall 2010

Though we had some snow last year this was the first time that the boys were old enough to understand what they were seeing. We woke up to 3-4 inches on the ground and the boys were amazed. Of course it was a work day so I let them stand out in it for only a minute before heading into town on the icy roads.

Chapter 4- Why It Sucks Having A Cousin

Just when you get comfortable playing on Grandma's lap which is no easy task since you're already sharing it with your twin then SHE comes along! Pushing, shoving and squeezing her way into the middle when there is just no more room. This is just one more reason why sometimes it just sucks to have a cousin.
