This is the 3rd year now that I have taken the boys down to Lone Pine Farms and by far the easiest! Taking two 3 year old is immensely less work than taking two 2 year olds. They got to pet the goats, play on the playground, the tractor, in the hay bale maze and they got to pick out little pumpkins for the great-grandmas. They loved everything about the "pun-kin" patch especially the cookies :)
This year Grandma Dodge's birthday was pretty low key. She just came out to our house for dinner and dessert but the boys though it was the perfect time to give grandma rides on their new quad. Luckily she showed up with helmet in tow. She made several laps around the yard before the boys got too scary :)

What's life without friends? I am blessed to have a lot of wonderful lasting friendships. Several I've grown up with almost my entire life. This weekend I got together with some of my best high school friends and we got some great pictures of all the kids. The six of us now have a total of 15 kids including three sets of twins. What are the odds of that? There are two of the kids missing unfortunately in the photos. (it was nap time :)

We picked up a new toy for the boys today...a Honda TRX90. We thought it would be too big and that it would be awhile before they could ride it but we were wrong. Since we can control the throttle and slow it down the boys do a great job riding it now! Guess I need to get on ebay and order those new helmets.

This was the weekend that we were all looking forward to camping up at Clear Lake but since the area had been evacuated due to a forest fire we had to change our plans...thus Waterloo. The weather was super hot so the kids got lots of swimming and water fights in. What a change from last year where we got so much rain that our camp flooded. After dark glow sticks were the big attraction. Torrie brought 100 of them!

Several of us signed up for the Eugene Women's Half Marathon several months ago. I was really excited for it until my knee surgery :) It was only 6 weeks after my surgery so I cut in at the half way point and just did the last 7 miles. It still felt good to get out there and it's a beautiful course. The mimosas at the end were also a plus!
