Cookie Decorating 101

This was the first time that we decided to tackle cookie decorating with the boys. It was definitely a two person job so we waited until daddy was home to help. First they had to try them on as bracelets then as hats. The boys did enjoy cutting out the cookies although their favorite part was licking the beaters and eating the cookies. They weren't very excited about the frosting part since it was just one more step before it got into their mouth. The hardest part for them was waiting for them to bake in the oven. You can probably guess that they aren't very patient creatures and it showed when they were staring at the oven door yelling "cookies!!".

2 1/2 Year Pictures

The boys are now 2 1/2 years old so it's back to Picture People for more photos. The boys did surprisingly well this time. Normally we have to wrestle them just to keep them in front of the camera. This time they acted almost comatose. No smiles but at least they held still long enough to get some pictures taken this time.

Getting In The Christmas Spirit

So this is the third year now that we've broke out the reindeer antlers. Brock may not have enjoyed it so much but Mason knows when he looks good. Daddy's safety glasses only enhance the look.

Tree Decorating 101

The boys are having a lot of firsts this year now that they're getting old enough to actually know what is going on. I decided to let the boys decorate a tree of their own this year. We have an ugly little fake tree that I thought would be perfect for the event. The minute I started pulling it out of the box the boys started screaming "tree, tree, tree!!" They had so much fun putting all the decorations on themselves. I really had no idea they would love it so much or even know what they were suppose to do for that matter.

First Snow fall 2010

Though we had some snow last year this was the first time that the boys were old enough to understand what they were seeing. We woke up to 3-4 inches on the ground and the boys were amazed. Of course it was a work day so I let them stand out in it for only a minute before heading into town on the icy roads.

Chapter 4- Why It Sucks Having A Cousin

Just when you get comfortable playing on Grandma's lap which is no easy task since you're already sharing it with your twin then SHE comes along! Pushing, shoving and squeezing her way into the middle when there is just no more room. This is just one more reason why sometimes it just sucks to have a cousin.

Thanksgiving 2010

Following tradition we had three different Thanksgiving dinners again this year. On the Saturday before we got together with all of the Raymond clan. The boys got some quality time with Nana and Aunt JoAnn helped keep them busy coloring pictures which Mason wanted every last one hung on the refrigerator. On Thanksgiving day we started out at my parents house where Mason helped Uncle Josh sort through the Black Friday ads and then it was off to James's parents house for more food and quality Grandma time.

2011 Calendar

Well the boys are officially Mr. February in the 2011 Fisher Farm & Lawn calendar. It's a regional calendar made by a company that seller farm equipment. Our friend Tamara that takes lots of pictures of the boys turned in a picture of them driving their John Deere Gator power wheels and they got chosen for the month of February. Kinda fun huh?!

Misc November 2010

Nothing exciting to report today but I thought I'd post of couple of funny pics of the boys around the house. When all of the hundreds of toys that they own fail to amuse them this is how they stay busy. They try on and fight over daddy's sunglasses. They put their chairs on top of the ottoman where they are not suppose to be. Brock tries to clip his own toenails and Mason eats and eats and eats and yes those are brussel sprouts and it's his third helping.

November 15th 2010

Today was the first time that the boys have made it into the newspaper. Nana sent in a photo of the boys that was taken at Grandpa's pumpkin patch and it made it into the Albany Democrat Harold. It was a pretty big photo but I'm still surprised at how many people have seen it. I've had patients bringing me copies into work all week!

Naughty Boys

The boys have been spending lots of time in the corner lately. They seem to have a hard time listening so it's a good thing that we have two corners!

Hallowen 2010 Part 3

Another day another Halloween adventure. On Halloween day we went over to a friends house for dinner and trick-or-treating. We had a whole herd full of toddlers in costume running around the house playing together. The boys had so much fun and they've definitely gotten down the hang of trick-or-treating. Luckily the weather held out and we got to stay dry. Yes that's James texting while trick-or-treating. Poor Brock had to man up and take care of himself :)
