Storybook Land 2012
My cousin and his wife were the last of our family from Australia to come visit. They were only here for a few days so we tried to make the most of it. We took Summer to took storybook land with us. The boys told Santa that they wanted a ipad, batman cave and a dragon. Oh is that all?

Little Bit of Early Christmas Cheer
okay so we broke into a few of the Christmas boxes a little bit early this year....we didn't actually put anything up. We just needed a little bit of early Christmas cheer to help get some inspiration for this years Christmas card photos....I didn't help but the boys had fun on a rainy day :)

Another year of trick-or-treating in the the rain in downtown Albany with Nana! Brock was the super
hero Thor and Mason was a T-Rex. Brock had to be convinced that it was okay wear his glasses because he didn't think superheros were suppose to wear glasses :)

Carving Pumpkins
Since I've never wanted to deal with the mess and they don't carve pumpkins in Australia this was
the first time doing it for both our boys and my cousins. Josh and Miranda brought a couple pumpkins home for carving and after a brief lesson in pumpkin carving they all got to work. It was a total mess and a ton of fun. We think they turned out pretty good for a first attempt :)
Bauman Farms 2012
This was our first time to Bauman Family Farms and we were lucky enough to share it with our family from Australia while they were here. Tina, Murray, Chantelle, Khaila, Mitchell, and Courtney were only here visiting for a week so we tried to cram as much fall fun as possible in during that time and Bauman Farms did not disappoint. The boys had fun on all of the bounce houses and slides while my uncle enjoyed the apple tasting and fresh apple cider making demonstrations. I think we all liked the apple cider donuts and kettle corn :) The boys kept all of us busy running between the go carts, petting zoo, tee-pee, apple launchers, and bug train. It was a good thing for cell phones because we frequently lost members of our party.

Grandpa's Pumpkin Patch 2012
Well our plan was to try out a trick-or-treating train located outside of Scio but after driving all the way out there because the website said they were open we found out that they lied! They weren't going to open until the following weekend :( So after a change of plans we ended up back at Grandpa's pumpkin patch followed by a little Limeberry frozen yogurt for dinner.
Fire Trucks!
It never fails every year we completely forget to put the fire stations open house on the calendar and we forget about them until we accidentally drive by :( and this year was no different. We were actually headed into town early before the boys soccer game so that they could build fire trucks with daddy (I know how fitting huh?) for the home depot project of the week we noticed all the commotion at the fire station. After the boys finished
their soccer game we were able to stop by one of the stations to see how the ladder truck works, tour the hazmat truck and the boys even got to sit in the drivers see of one of the fire trucks. They were very excited to show off the fire trucks that they made at home depot earlier that day. Had we know earlier we could have gone to other stations also where they were actually giving rides in the fire trucks.

Cookies & Pizza!
James was "suppose" to be out of town fishing so we planned a night of fun with the Forrester family. Carmen and the boys came over to play until they were all thoroughly worn out.
The kiddos also each made mini pizzas and decorated giant pumpkin shaped sugar cookies. (See just trying to cram in more fall fun :)
Lone Pine Farms 2012
Yes it's 80 degrees outside, we're wearing shorts and we're at the pumpkin patch! I just love fall though and there is so much fun stuff to do and so little time to do it in :) We decided to make a trip down to Lone Pine Farms with Nana, Auntie Rae and cousins Kiley & Corbin. We didn't play out in the pumpkin patch but the kids did wear themselves out in the hay maze, on the playground, feeding the goats & chickens, climbing in the cow train and of course eating cookies.
